The JDRF Gala is one of the premiere social and charitable events in Dallas, with a reputation of elegance, excellence, and fun!  This year’s gala, to be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, will help make the dream of turning type one into type none a reality.

Under the leadership of Gala Chairs, Laura and Bo McPartland, the 2022 JDRF gala will take place at the Omni Dallas Hotel.  Laura and Bo know first hand the impact of T1D in their family.  Their T1D story began almost 5 decades ago when Laura’s brother was diagnosed.  In 2005, after recognizing symptoms, their daughter Sarah was diagnosed at age 4.  Her 3 brothers learned to support Sarah and manage daily life with T1D.  Then, in 2011, while visiting family for Christmas in San Antonio, they recognized similar symptoms in their 11 year old son Michael.  A quick check of Sarah’s glucometer confirmed their fears.  Michael spent Christmas Eve and Day at Children’s Hospital in San Antonio learning how to calculate insulin doses and give himself insulin injections.  Through this Laura and Bo have and continue to be champions for JDRF and the type 1 diabetes community.
