Having lost a loved one to diabetes, finding a cure is personal to me.  To manage this disease, people with type 1 diabetes need to monitor their blood sugar and pump or inject insulin throughout the day.  This daily routine continues for life because insulin does not cure diabetes.

JDRF is the leading private funder of diabetes research worldwide.  Amazing progress has been made, but we need more research to improve lives and to work for a cure.
