Having lost a loved one to type 1 diabetes (T1D), finding a cure is personal to me.  To manage this disease, people with T1D need to monitor their blood sugar and pump or inject insulin throughout the day.  This daily routine continues for life because insulin does not cure T1D.

JDRF is the leading private funder of TG1Dresearch worldwide.  Amazing progress has been made, but we need more research to improve lives and to work for a cure.
